Over three years has passed since the University of Melbourne adopted the Growing Esteem strategy.Accordingly, the University has begun to refine its strategy.

In June 2009, the Vice-Chancellor released Refining Our Strategy: A discussion paper that invites involvement and response.
The Vice-Chancellor sought responses from the whole University community including all staff and alumni via email. For details of those emails, please see: Email to staffand Email to alumni.

The Vice-Chancellor's Strategy Unit is currently in the process of analysing the submissions.After this analysis, further consultation on a draft of a revised version of Growing Esteem will take place with the University's Senior Executive.
